Background

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), National Microbiology Laboratory at Guelph (NML@Guelph) requires the supply, delivery and installation of an Automated DNA Extractor System (ADES) - automated high throughput nucleic acid extraction system using a magnetic particle processor. The ADES is required to automate routine nucleic acid extraction in several programs at NML@Guelph when working with large numbers of samples.

The ADES will simultaneously process 96 bacterial samples using the preferred magnetic bead chemistry currently used with assays developed in-house. The system must be flexible to meet the needs of many users, and must have the capacity to modify protocols to meet future needs.

All deliverables must be completed on or before 31 March 2016.
