The following is the minimum Government of Canada requirements for one (1) Miller Big Blue 800 Duo Air Pak multi-process diesel-driven welding unit to be used in the welding and heavy metal fabrication work center at Department of National Defence (DND) Fleet Maintenance Facility CAPE BRETON (FMF CB).
This welder must be compatible with existing welding equipment in the shop including Miller wireless controllers and wire feeders. It is in the interest of FMF CB to standardize the welding equipment to one manufacturer to standardize welding procedures. The Miller Big Blue 800 Duo Air Pak unit is the only welder made by Miller that meets the capability requirements for FMF CB.
