Full description

This ACAN is amended to add information to the minimum essential requirements and to extend the closing date.

1. Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN)

An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.

2. Definition of the requirement

The Investment, Science and Technology Division (ISTD) at Statistics Canada produce monthly and quarterly estimates of the residential and non-residential building investment. These estimates are derived from the Building Permit Survey (BPS) However; additional data sources are needed that include entities that are not required to obtain building permits, such as embassies, some universities and military bases. ISTD requires this information to assist in monitoring changes in value and length of capital construction projects

The Contractor will provide a detailed monthly breakdown of national, regional and local construction data, including: the value; the stage for each project; the type of project; the project name; the site address; the type of work; the start date; the end date; and the geographical breakdown.
