Fence Relocation - Nova Institute for Women, Truro, Nova Scotia

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) has a
requirement for the fence relocation at the Nova Institute for
Women located in Truro, Nova Scotia. In general work the work
consists of, but is not limited to, the relocation of the
perimeter fence and construction of a fenced-in compound in two
phases. The modification of camera location and intrusion
detection system to suit new fence layout and the construction
of a new gravel access road. All work is to be performed in
accordance with the plans and specifications for PWGSC Project
Number R.043957.002 forming part of the bid document. The
contract completion is twelve (12) weeks after contract award.

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site and examine the Scope of the Work
required and the existing conditions. There will be an optional
site visit on November 16, 2012 at 10:00 am. All interested
bidders are to meet at the main entrance of the Nova Institute
for Women, Truro, Nova Scotia. Although not mandatory, all
contractors wishing to submit a tender for this work are
encouraged to attend to become familiar with all aspects of the
work. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation
resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment
to the bid solicitation. Please note that there is a security
clearance required for this site visit. ALL interested bidders,
regardless of current clearance level, must submit the
Institution Access CPIC Clearance request form attached as
Appendix 2 of the Invitation to Tender document by 2:00 pm
November 13, 2012. No cameras, cellphones or tobacco products
are permitted on the site.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: New measures related to Code of Conduct and
certifications included in the solicitation documents requires
attention.

A public bid opening will be held at the Bid Receiving Unit,
Room 421, 189 Prince William Street, Saint John, N.B.

The estimated cost for this opportunity is within the following
cost category: $500,001 to $1,000,000. Standard bid and
contract security for construction is required.
