SCOPE OF WORK

1. Work under this contract consist mainly, but not limited to, the maintenance dredging of the site D’Amours Wharf in Rivière-au-Renard and maintenance dredging at the Fishermen's Wharf of Cap Chat in Gaspesia area.

2. The Department asks interested companies to submit prices for each of the sites so that the Department can grant either all of the work to be performed or only work for one or other of the sites where work dredging could be performed.

3. Dredging volumes are measured at 3,000 cubic meters measured in place by bathymetric survey for the site of Rivière-au-Renard D’Amours Wharf and 1,500 cubic meters measured in place by bathymetric survey for the site of Cap Chat fisherman's Wharf.

4. Reach depths range from -1.2 to -1.8 meters for the Rivière-au-Renard site and depth to reach is -1.8 meters for the harbor of Cap-Chat - Fishermen's Wharf instead of that identified -2.8 meters dredging template. The areas to be dredged are shown in more detail in Annex II to this tender document. Tenderers must take into consideration that there will be no dredging in the part identified at -2.1 meters for the harbour of Cap-Chat.

5. Dredging method is at the discretion of the bidder but equipment used should allow the achievement of all required work. The method of disposal of the dredged material will be by land for two sites to be dredged. It is the responsibility of bidders to find a place of disposal for dredged material based on characterisation made for the Rivière-au-Renard site. For the disposal of dredged materials related to Cap-Chat - Fishermen's Wharf, the disposal site is located within the harbor, in the service area. See Annexes IV and V for the relevant information about it. The bidder shall submit with its bid (s) the place (s) of disposal (s) with provincial authorisation certificate (s) corresponding to the quality of materials to be dredged.

6. The dredging must begin on site within two weeks after contract award. The work must be completed on or before October 31, 2015.

7. Plans in PDF and DWG and more recent bathymetric surveys will be provided to the contractor before the work begins.
