Public Works and Government Services Canada on behalf of
Department of Fisheries and Oceans has the requirement for
dredging and construction at Port Bickerton East, Guysborough
County, NS.
The work under this contract includes, but is not limited to:
1. Construction of a new launching ramp and temporary
parking area including storm culvert extension and manhole;
2. Dredging of portion of west dredge area to provide vessel
access to the new ramp;
3. Removal of the existing ramp once the new ramp is fully
operational;
4. Construction of containment berms and dredging of the
east and west dredge areas;
5. Disposal of the dredge material in the containment berms
to elevations indicated on the plans and disposal of excess
dredge material off-site;
6. After a minimum six month settlement period, completion
of east and west service areas to the final grades shown on the
plans including guide rail, new floats, abutments and ramps.
All work must be completed by December 15, 2015.
