THE PURPOSE OF THIS AMENDMENT IS TO EXTEND THE CLOSING DATE OF
THE SOLICITATION FROM 31 JULY 2012, 2:00 PM EDST, TO 2 AUGUST
2012, 2:00 PM EDST.

The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the
provision of goods and services for the implementation of a COTS
National Laboratory Information Management System (NLIMS) as a
solution to integrate Environment Canada (EC) laboratory
facilities, with a focus on water monitoring and enforcement
laboratories.

The RFP includes a requirement to procure all related labour,
related training and training material, related documentation
and a LIMS software platform to implement and support a NLIMS.
The required solution includes the licensing (and associated
software products), installation of software, support,
consultation, training, customization, testing, configuration of
data, and implementation and on-going maintenance services.

Deliverables/Services to be provided as part of the NLIMS
Solution are, but not limited to, the following:

Software License(s), and associated software products, including
all NLIMS Software Documentation;

Training (System Administrator and Staff), on-site at the EC
locations, including documentation;

Full System Implementation, to include but not be limited to:
Configuration, Indexing and Loading
Ii) Integration, installation and set-up of proposed NLIMS
Solution
Iii) Final System Acceptance

Software Maintenance and Support Services, including upgrades
and enhancements, for the Period of Three (3) Years;

Software Maintenance and Support Services, including upgrades
and enhancements, for Seven (7) additional One (1) Year periods,
each to commence upon the expiration of the previous year;

Other Optional Vendor products/services as detailed in the
Statement of Requirements (SOR).

The Period of the Contract shall be sixty (60) months, including
Options. Contract issue is anticipated prior to September 2012,
with initial deliverables made on or before 31March 2013.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
