The Department of National Defence has a requirement for
Emergency Breathing Systems (EBS) Training and/or Underwater
Egress training to prepare participants on mental and physical
considerations for both deliberate and no-warning water entries.
Participants will receive practical experience in ditching,
both upright and inverted, in assigned crew positions and under
simulated night time conditions, and ocean survival techniques
and Aircrew Life Support Equipment (ALSE) use under conditions
representative of a challenging ocean environment, in aircraft
type-specific scenarios. The period of the Contract is from 01
June 2012 to 31 May 2013 inclusive with Canada retaining an
irrevocable option to extend the Contract for an additional two
(2) consecutive one (1) year periods.
The requirement is subject to the provisions the World Trade
Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Agreement
on Internal Trade (AIT).
