Work under this contract involves the provision of all labour,
materials and equipment required to install a new 10 foot high
boundary fence at the Edmonton Maximum Security Institute,
Edmonton to Alberta

The work required under this project includes but is not
limited to:

Construction of a new chain link boundary fence around existing
"Private Family Visit" houses within the Edmonton Maximum
Security Institution premises.

Construction consists of removal and disposal of a portion of
existing six foot high fence and construction of a new 10 foot
high fence complete with concertina wire on top; and
construction of a concrete mowing strip under the fencing.

The affected area will need gravel backfill; graded and
compacted. Contractor will ensure positive drainage is
achieved.

Wiring of the existing fire alarm and break glass alarm system,
to the PFV's will need to be rerouted, tested and proven.

Make good all damages done due to site area due to equipment
movement and construction,as well as all related and incidental
work required to deliver a complete job.

Construction to begin immediately upon contract award, with
completion no later than
March 31st, 2013.

NOTICE - OPTIONAL SITE VISIT

It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site.

There will be an optional site visit on Friday November 9, 2012
at 10:00 a.m. Interested bidders are to meet at the Edmonton
Maximum Security Institution, Edmonton, Alberta.

Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from
submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation. Persons with Criminal
Records may be denied access to the Institution.

"IMPORTANT NOTICE:
New measures related to Code of Conduct and certifications
included in the solicitation documents requires attention."

Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consist of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.

This PWGSC Office provides procurement services to the public in
English.
