To establish a Task Authorization Contract on behalf of The
Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC), a division of
Environment Canada, located at Downsview, Ontario. The Contract
is for the supply of services to perform regularly scheduled
inspections at 28 Doppler Weather Radar Radome sites accross
Canada, which MSC is the custodian of. Failure of the radome
structure through phyiscal damage or loss of weather seal can
lead to radar and ancillary equipment failures inside the radome
and has the potential to seriously degrade the radar
sensitivity. Therefore, the MSC requires that these radomes
undergo a routine inspection and maintenance via regularly
scheduled visits approximately every three (3) years. MSC will
also require a contractor to perform minor and major unscheduled
repairs on an "as-and-when" requested basis.
The Contract Period will be from Date of Award to 4 years from
the date of contract award. There will be an option to extend
the Contract Period for two (2) additional one (1) year periods.
It is the intent to issue one Contract as a result of this
solicitation.
A bid must comply with the requirements of the bid solicitation
and meet all mandatory requirements to be declared responsive.
Bidders are strongly encouraged to review Annex "G" - Evaluation
Criteria and Annex "B" - Basis of Payment.
