Nature of Requirements:
This Amendment 001 has been issued to change the time of the
mandatory site visit.
FIRE ALARM MONITORING
The Department of National Defence (DND), Defence Research and
Development Canada (DRDC), Toronto, ON has a requirement for the
complete routine inspection, testing, operation and maintenance
for their fire alarm system including fire suppression and
detection systems on a quarterly basis for a period of one year.
All inspection, testing, operation and maintenance must be in
accordance with the National Fire Code, NFPA 25 and all Federal
Acts on fire regulations.
Inspections will be scheduled on a quarterly basis during the
contract period. See request for Proposal for complete details.
The Work is to be performed during the period of 13 August 2013
to 12 August 2014.
This requirement also includes an optional period for an
additional two (2) one year periods for the same services under
the same conditions as the original contract.
MANDATORY SITE VISIT
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for site
visit to be held on 18 June 2013 at 1:30 PM, Defence Research &
Development Canada Toronto, 1133 Sheppard Avenue, Toronto,
Ontario, M3K 2C9. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting
Authority no later than 3 day(s) before the scheduled visit to
confirm attendance and provide the names of the person(s) who
will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance
form. Bidders should confirm in their bids that they have
attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend or send a
representative will not be given an alternative appointment and
their bids will be rejected as non-compliant. Any clarifications
or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit
will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
Bids will be evaluated based on meeting all the mandatory
requirements to be deemed responsive. The responsive bid with
the lowest evaluated price will be recommended for award of a
contract.

procurement.
