The Department of National Defence, has a requirement for the
furninshing of all labour, material, tools, equipment and
transportation required to maintain, inspect, test, provide
software updates and/or upgrades and service elevators and
vertical wheelchair and attendant platform lifts on a monthly
basis at the following locations:
Moncton Garrison, Moncton, NB - Quantity Four (4) elevator
devices
Barrack Green Armoury, Saint John, NB -Quantity One (1) elevator
devices
Sussex Armoury, Sussex, NB - Quantity One (1) elevator devices
Bathurst Armoury, Bathurst, NB - Quantity One (1) elevator device
HMCS Queen Charlotte, Charlottetown, PEI - Quantity One (1)
elevator device
Queen Charlotte Armoury, Charlottetown, PEI - Quantity One (1)
elevator device
All work will be performed by certified technicians with Class A
Elevator Mechanics Card for elevators and dumbwaiters. Proof of
certification to be provided prior to award of contract.
It is recommended that the bidder or representative of the
bidder visit the work site and examine the scope of work
required and the existing conditions. Arrangements for a tour
of the site can be made with Aubrey MacLeod (506) 422-2000
(2677). Bidders that do not visit are not precluded from
submitting a bid.
All work is to be performed in accordance with the Specification
for DND Job No. L-M186-9900/82 forming part of the bid document.
Period of contract will be from 01 April 2013 to 31 March 2014
with an option for Two (2) additional One (1) year periods.
Only bids from contractors whose name is on the applicable Lists
of Pre-qualified Elevator Maintenance Contractors for the
province or territory where the work is performed, for the type
of equipment listed herein will be considered for this
solicitation.
Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain
tender documents through the MERX services provider. Addenda,
when issued, will be available from the MERX provider. Firms
that elect to base their bids on tender documents obtained from
other sources do so at their own risk . Standard terms and
conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference,
and form part of the tender and contract documents. The standard
documents are issued by Public Works and Government Services and
may be viewed on the MERX electronic bulletin board as part of
the information module.
This PWGSC office provides procurement services to the public in
both official languages.
