ACAN – Servicing, Inspection, and Repair of Small Plot Combines This Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada intends to award a service contract to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a Statement of Capabilities. If no supplier submits, a Statement of Capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in this ACAN, the Contracting Officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.REQUIREMENTS:Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada will be contracting for the service, inspection, and repair of Wintersteiger brand equipment at the Lacombe and Brandon Research and Development Centres (RDC)This includes identifying and repairing any parts that are broken or near end-of-life, updating proprietary computer equipment and software, running the machine to warm it up and then changing of fluids and filters (engine oil, hydraulic oil, air filter, etc.). The inspection from Wintersteiger follows a set checklist that covers checking over all of the components of the equipment. As the inspection is done, small adjustments may be made during the inspection (e.g. tightening of a belt). Larger issues that are identified during the inspection will be quoted and left to repair after the inspection. We are dealing directly with the Winterseiger, as they are the owners, developers of the equipment and owners of the IP.
