The Harvesting Equipment is specific to the harvesting and pruning of fruit trees. The Harvesting Equipment is an elevating mobile work platform that will moveup, down and between orchard rows. The worker is elevated in a work cage/basket and controls the machine from that position. The Harvesting Equipment therefore must be able to move between adjacent rows of trees in a mature orchard without damaging the branches that may stick out into the alley (space between the rows). The purpose for the machine is to prune large cherry trees. The worker needs to be able to cut branches that are perhaps 10-12 ft. above the ground level. The pruning is done in the winter so the harvesting equipment must be able to be operated in all weather conditions and on sharply sloped terrain.
