Full description

A study is being carried out jointly by Health Canada - Water, and Air Quality Bureau (HC) and the National Research Council of Canada - Construction (NRC) to investigate different mitigation strategies to prevent the infiltration of pollutants from attached garages into the adjoining living spaces of residential homes. The study involves 36 owner occupied homes with attached garages in the National Capital Region. Proposed for 2013-2014 is the evaluation of the impact of improved sealing the garage / house interface wall to improving indoor air quality in the home.
