Title
Investigation of chemical and biological materials
Objective
Study the phenomenology of the optical and infrared signals from
chemical substances and irradiated biological aerosols/material
and process and analyze optical and infrared signal from
chemical substances and irradiated biological aerosol/material.
To accomplish this objective, itwill be necessary to: execute
field and/or lab measurements, develop and/or modify mechanical
equipment or components for interfacing or integrating to other
systems, develop and modify software tools and provide support
to airborne operations
Tasks
This task authorisation contract includes the following tasks:
Task 1: Process and analyse signals from chemical substances and
irradiated biological aerosols/material
Task 2: Study the phenomenology of optical and infrared signals
from chemical samples and illuminated biological
aerosols/material
Task 3: Execute field and/or lab measurements on chemical
substances and irradiated biological aerosols/material.
Task 4: In support of laboratory work, field trails or flight
trials

The organization for which the services are to be rendered is
Defence Research and Development Canada - Valcartier (DRDC -
Valcartier).
Period of the Contract :
The period of the contract is from the date of the contract to
March 31, 2018 inclusive
Key information
i. Estimated amount of available funding for this contract :
$850,000.00, Applicable Taxes extra.
ii. Defence Research and Development Canada - Valcartier has
determined that any intellectual property rights arising from
the performance of the Work under the resulting contract will
belong to Canada.
iii. bidders must provide a list of names, or other related
information as needed, pursuant to section 01 of Standard
Instructions 2003.
iv. For services requirements, Bidders in receipt of a pension
or a lump sum payment must provide the required information as
detailed in article 3 of Part 2 of the bid solicitation.
v. The requirement is limited to Canadian services.
vi. Work site: The work must be done on site at DRDC -
Valcartier.
vii. This procurement is subject to the Controlled Goods Program.
viii. The requirement is subject to the Agreement on Internal
Trade (AIT).
ix. There is a security requirement associated with this
