An ACAN is a public notice indicating to the supplier community that a department or agency intends to award a contract for goods, services or construction to a pre-identified supplier, thereby allowing other suppliers to signal their interest in bidding, by submitting a statement of capabilities. If no supplier submits a statement of capabilities that meets the requirements set out in the ACAN, on or before the closing date stated in the ACAN, the contracting officer may then proceed with the award to the pre-identified supplier.
The department of Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) has a requirement to conduct a rigorous reservoir study about the behavior of non-condensable gases from injection of flue gas of Direct Contact Steam Generation Technology in Canadian oil sand steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) operation.
This will be accomplished through the following:
Reservoir sites selection study report
Baseline normal SAGD operation reservoir study on selected sites with sophisticated water geochemistry model
Conduct a CO2-water-oil PVT behavior model for STARS thermal reactive reservoir simulation model
Build DCSG injection operation reservoir model
Evaluate the fate of CO2 and other non-condensable gases in the reservoir, and the net CO2 stored.
Study the impact of DCSG flue gas injection on the production of H2S from aquathermolysis
Detailed report on all work conducted in this project including fine description of all models, assumptions, operation conditions, results and analysis
