The Labour Program and the Federal Workers’ Compensation Program wish to be fully informed of international best practices and approaches in occupational illness/injuries claims management models. A comprehensive review of effective workers’ compensation regimes in industrialized countries and a comparative analysis to the current federal model is required. Based on the international review and analysis, recommendations are desired on which design elements to consider for modernizing occupational claim administration under the Government Employees Compensation Act (GECA).
