DFO- FAB & DEL 6.4 M to 7.2 M ALUMINUM BOATS WITH TRAILERS
SUMMARY:
The Statement of work is as follows:
Carry out the design, construction, test, trial and delivery of
one (1) 6.4 M to 7.2 m Aluminiumboat with trailer for the
Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) in accordance with the
associated Technical Specifications detailed in the Statement of
Work and Project Management Services attached as Annexes A and
H.
DELIVERY:
Delivery of the boat and all other deliverables are required by
the contract to be at destination on or before 26 March, 2015.
MISSON STATEMENT:
This requirement is for a welded aluminium hulled canvas-top
boat in the 6.4 (hull) to 7.2 (with outboard pod) meter range.
The vessel will be trailered to and deployed in a wide variety
of British Columbia coastal locations where it will be used to
conduct dive research and beach survey activities. The vessel
will also be lifted on and deployed from Coast Guard ships.

PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VESSEL:
1. Length: = 6.4 M to 7.2 M maximum
2. Fuel capacity = 180 Liters minimum
3. Crew of 4 = 440 kg
4. Equipment & supplies = 450kg
MANDATORY CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS:
1. Transport Canada Marine Safety Regulation TP 1332
"Construction Standards for Small Vessels", which incorporate
references to ABYC standards for equipment such as fuel tanks
and fuel systems, as well as tank space ventilation, and ISO
standards for stability, loading capacity, etc. as delegated to
ISO 12217-1.

TRADE AGREEMENTS:
This Purchase is being made under GSIN N1940G, and therefore
subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade and the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
