Note to Tenderers:

paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
Work Description:
Work to be done under this Contract covers Phase 2 of the
remediation work on the artesian Coldstream Ranch Well (CRW),
located at 8755 Kalamalka Lake Road, Coldstream, BC. Work
generally includes but is not limited to the following
activities to kill and close the CRW:
- Installing well pumps and maintaining continuous pumping and
water control from multiple wells at multiple sites including
operating the site relief well in excess of 1200 gmp during
closure activities;
- Using low mobility grout and permutation grouting to seal
flows between aquifers crossed by the CRW and to surface from
the CRW;
- 16 inch and 30 inch casing removal;
- Stand-by capacity to mud drill a large diameter, high capacity
relief well; and
- Deconstruction of current well infrastructure and the
construction and reconnection of new infrastructure.
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
within the scope of work.
Site Visit:
Contractors are recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work. A site
visit is scheduled on Tuesday, August 12th, 2014 at 11:00am
local time, at the Coldstream Ranch Well (CRW), located at 8755
Kalamalka Lake Road, Coldstream, BC. A maximum of two (2)
representatives per bidder will be permitted to examine the
sites. Interested bidders are required to pre-register their
name(s) and company name by e-mail to: k•••••••@•••••.••.ca by
close of business on Monday, August 11th, 2014.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within eight weeks from Contract Award.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost around
$2,000,000.00.
Firms intending to submit tenders on this project should obtain
tender (solicitation) documents through the MERX service
provider. Addenda, when issued will be available from the MERX
service provider. Firms that elect to base their bids on tender
(solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at
their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the
tender calling authority of their intention to bid. In all
cases, bidders must indicate (when requested) in the space
provided on the tender form the identification number(s) of the
addenda, if any, that they have taken into consideration for
their bid.
