Requirement:
The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for
Scrim Nets used on CG634 Combat Helmet in accordance with the
Manufacturing Data dated January 2013, provided at Annex B of
the Request For Proposal, and the drawings. The drawings are
part of the technical data package and will be provided under
separate cover under the Design Data List (DDL-8486-134742).
Firm Quantity
24,000 units
Delivery:
It is requested that delivery be complete by 16 August 2013.
The firm quantity is to be delivered to the Canadian Forces
Supply Depots in Montreal, Quebec and Edmonton, Alberta.
Option:
This requirement also includes one (1) option to purchase an
additional quantity of 24,000 units exercisable for a period of
24 months from the date of contract award.
Pre-Award Sample
The bidder must submit a pre-award sample with their bid.
Canadian Content Policy - Solely Limited
This requirement is subject to the Canadian Content Policy and
is solely limited to Canadian origin goods.
Technical Data:
The Manufacturing Data will automatically be issued to firms who
will order the bid document via Merx. The technical data
package will be forwarded to firms, under separate cover, from
the Department of National Defence upon request for the bid
documentation via Merx. Therefore, it is imperative that the
request for bid documentation be done as soon as possible to
ensure timely receipt of the associated technical data. If
bidders do not receive the technical data, they must contact the
contracting officer. However, Canada shall not be held
responsible for untimely release of technical data, since the
technical package and sealed pattern shall be available for
viewing at the following Department of Public Works and
Government Services Regional Offices: Montreal, QUÉ;
Mississauga, ON; Québec, QUÉ; Winnipeg, MB; Edmonton, ALTA. and
Vancouver, BC, and at DND, Gatineau Quebec.
Enquiries
To ensure a response before the bid closing date, all enquiries
about this requirement must be submitted in writing and received
by the Contracting Authority at least 7 calendar days prior to
the bid closing date.
