Nature of Requirements:
The National Research Council of Canada, Aerospace Research Centre (NRC-ARC), in Ottawa, Ontario is upgrading the AIWT refrigeration plant located in building M17. The existing heat transfer fluid (trichloroethylene, TCE) is to be replaced with a fluid that will maintain the current facility performance with lower health, safety and environmental risks than TCE and will allow future upgrade to a lower operating temperature.
The NRC plans to acquire 20,190L (at 25 degrees C) of heat transfer fluid to replace the previous heat transfer fluid. The new fluid will be installed in the M17 refrigeration system.
