PROJECT DESCRIPTION
.1 The successful Proponent will be responsible for assessment, planning, evaluation and recommendations, reporting, design, regulatory approval securement, contractor procurement support, construction administration, commissioning, and project close-out services for potable water and wastewater infrastructure improvements at Beauvais Lake Provincial Park. The work shall consider technical, financial, environmental, operational, and
stakeholder requirements.
.2 For the wastewater component, Alberta Forestry and Parks prefers to consolidate existing systems and provide regionalized collection, treatment, and disposal infrastructure where technically, environmentally, operationally, and financially feasible. The Consultant shall determine where consolidation is practical and provide clear technical, operational, and lifecycle-cost justification for any separate site-specific systems recommended, including
any separate system proposed for an isolated facility such as the park office.
.3 The wastewater component is not intended to include an extensive or openended options analysis. The Consultant shall use the previous infrastructure assessment, available records, operational knowledge, targeted field investigations and site-evaluation results to evaluate only the practical servicing configurations and treatment-area alternatives reasonably required to confirm the recommended replacement approach.
.4 For the potable water component, the Consultant shall assess the existing source and treatment systems, confirm current deficiencies and required upgrades, and advance the design of authorized improvements. The recently replaced potable water distribution system is not intended to be reassessed or replaced except where coordination, protection, connection, or localized modification is required.
