Senior government officials are occasionally provided a personal driver to facilitate their travel by vehicle while in the National Capital Region. Although the driver does not perform security related functions, in the ever-evolving threat environment, it is incumbent on the Privy Council Office (PCO) to ensure these drivers can ensure the safe and secure transport of these officials under increased threat conditions.
