For the purposes of this procurement, Canada is acting as AGENT
for the British Army Training Unit Suffield.
The British Armed Forces Training Unit (BATUS) at Canadian
Forces Base Suffield, in accordance with the solicitation
documents, has a requirement for the provision of all materials,
equipment, labour, supervision and expertise necessary for the
British Military to conduct its summer and winter Adventurous
Training (AT) programmes within Western Canada.
The period of the Contract is from 01 November 2015 to 31
October 2016, inclusive.
The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend
the term of the Contract by up to four additional option period
(s) under the same conditions as follows; 01 November 2016 to 31
March 2017, 01 April 2017 to 31 October 2017, 01 November 2017
to 31 March 2018 and 01 April 2018 to 31 October 2018.
The Work is to be performed during the period of 01 November to
31 May for the winter activities and during the period of 01
June to 31 October for the summer activities of each contract
year.
The Current Military Staging Contract at Trails End Camp,
Cochrane Alberta is in effect until March 31, 2017. Effective
April 1, 2017, the Military Staging Area Contract activities may
be undertaken at a new location and pricing may be adjusted at
that time.
Bidders' Conference
A bidders' conference will be held at Trails End Camp (TEC),
located 30 kilometers west of Cochrane, Alberta on 11 May 2015.
The conference will begin at 13:00 MDT, in the TEC conference
room. The scope of the requirement outlined in the bid
solicitation will be reviewed during the conference and
questions will be answered. It is recommended that bidders who
intend to submit a bid attend or send a representative.
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting
Authority before the conference to confirm attendance. Bidders
should provide, in writing, to the Contracting Authority, the
name(s) of the person(s) who will be attending and a list of
issues they wish to table no later than 14:00 CST on 6 May 2015.
The requirement is subject to a preference for Canadian goods
and/or services.
