Nature of Requirements:
The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement.
The Correctional Service Canada has the obligation to train part of its staff in first aid. Thus, it currently has about 50 employees who are certified Standard First Aid instructors and offer this training. They are currently certified by a training organization recognized at the provincial level. These instructors are distributed at the various responsibility centres in several regions of Quebec and at the Staff College in Laval.
Objectives and deliverables: looking for a Contractor who, Once the contract is awarded (estimated in May or June 2014), will be able to (in both official languages):
at the start of the contract, provide:
- Prior Learning Recognition for First Aid instructors already working for the CSC so that they may obtain their instructor's certification from the Contractor.
- or, if they already have this instructor certification from the Contractor, provide recertification.
Train new CSC staff members as First Aid/AED/CPR level C/health care providers instructors, to train its employees in accordance with CSC's training standards.
Provide certificates and reference materials for first responders.
- issue certificates to nursing staff and first responders who participate in a course given by an instructor certified by the Contractor.
- make available the reference material and course content, which meet the latest international standards in First Aid.
Expected Delivery Date: May or June 2014 until march 2015 plus an option year.
