Supply of two fuel oil purifiers as per mandatory requirement.
Mandatory Requirements for Fuel Oil Purifier(s)
1.1 Self Cleaning Purifiers must be rated for a certified flow
rate of 12,500 liters per hour of Marine Diesel Oil with a
Kinematic Viscosity of 2.5 to 4.3 centistokes @ 40 deg C .
1.2 Separator and separator feed pumps must operate on 440 VAC,
3 phase, 60 hz. Feed pumps to be driven directly from
purifiers or the feed pumps must be mounted on common
purifier base.
1.3 Control power must be 115 VAC, 3 phase, 60 Hz.
1.4 Control panel and cabinet must be provided with alarm output
to a remote operating system. It is to be marine PLC based for
multi-language, interactive operation of the complete system
including starter for separator and feed pump, i.e. EPC60 or
equivalent.
1.5 The two purifiers supplied shall fit combined in the
footprint as indicated in, CCGS Terry Fox FO Purifier
Footprint' drawing. Each purifier shall be fitted as a separate
module. Longitudinal Dimensions: 2.00 m. (outboard) & 1.65 m.
(inboard). Transverse Dimensions: 2.40 m. (forward) & 3.00 m.
aft. Total height available is 2 meters high. Note: The
control panel doesn't have to fit in this footprint as it can be
mounted to the adjacent bulkhead.
1.6 Contractor shall confirm that service/maintenance can be
performed on the proposed purifiers based on the dimensions
provided on drawing, CCGS Terry Fox FO Purifier Footprint".
The area available for service/maintenance beyond the install
footprint is indicated in the hatched area on the drawing
previously noted.
1.7 Purifiers must be fitted with Emergency Safety Shutdowns.
1.8 Purifiers at a minimum must be fitted with shutdowns for the
following:
-Vibration
-Loss of suction
-High Discharge Pressure
-Low Oil Level
1.9 Assemblies and components must be Lloyds Register
Classification Society approved for marine service.
1.10 Purifier supplier shall be able to provide authorized
service support within 24 hours.
1.11 One (1) set of manufacturer's special tools must be
provided, c/w illustrated tool list and three (3) copies of
illustrated operation and maintenance manuals. One (1)
additional copy must be in the French language.
1.12 One (1) set of manufacturer's minor maintenance spares and
major overhaul spares must be provided with each purifier c/w
priced itemized list of overhaul spare kit parts list.
1.13 Three (3) copies of manufacturer's model specific
illustrated parts manual plus an additional copy in the
French language.
1.14 Delivery of the two (2) purifiers shall be by July 15, 2013
to Canadian Coast Guard Technical Stores, St. John's, NL.
