Nature of Requirements:
Amendment 002 is raised to extend the bid closing date from May
31, 2012 to June 27th, 2012.
A Proposal already submitted may be amended prior to closing
time by sending the amended correspondence to Bid Receiving, the
envelope/fax bearing the Solicitation No. W8486-120975/A and the
new closing date 27 June 2012.
This requirement is for 40,000 bayonet scabbards in support of
Department of National Defense to be delivered to Montreal and
Edmonton, requested for October 1, 2012.

Material to be used: TPE, Durometer Shore D Hardness 44, colored
White.
Front mould insert: 5"W x 15"L x 1.5"T
Back mould insert: 5"W x 15"L x 1.5"T
Injection machine, horizontal: 90 tons
Runner weight: 0.0 grams (Hot Tip)
Additional information:
- The parts need to be manually removed from the mold.
- The 2 holes needed to insert the rivets need to be manually
drilled, post-molding.
- Individually packaged into 3" x 5" x 15" polybags, 1 mil.
Thick, 10 per box.
The requirement is solely limited to Canadian goods.
An option exists for a minimum of 50% up to a maximum of 100% of
the above quantities.
To assure a response before the bid closing date, all enquiries
about this requirement must be submitted in writing and received
by the Contracting Authority at least 7 calendar days prior to
the bid closing date.
Technical Data shall be automatically issued, under separate
cover upon request for the bid documentation. Therefore, it is
imperative that this request for bid documentation be done as
soon as possible to ensure timely receipt of the associated
technical data. Notwithstanding the Crown shall not be held
responsible for untimely release of technical data, since
technical package and sealed sample shall be available for
viewing at the following Department of Public Works and
Government Services regional offices:
