Definition of requirement: Shared Services Canada (SSC) has a requirement for the procurement of a mobile satellite service. The purpose of this Advance Contract Award Notice (ACAN) is to signal the government's intention to award a contract for these services to Globalstar Canada Satellite Co. Globalstar Canada provides the full spectrum of managed Globalstar services including hardware sales, device activation, airtime, billing, and help desk services who can provide Globalstar managed services requirements that the client base receives today and requires in the future. For this reason it is proposed that this requirement be directed to Globalstar Canada, who is the only known firm capable of performing the contract.

Before awarding a contract, however, the government would like to provide other suppliers with the opportunity to demonstrate that they are capable of satisfying the requirements set out in this Notice, by submitting a statement of capabilities during the 10 calendar day posting period.

The professional services to be provided are as stated in the attached Statement of Work (Annex A) at the various locations stated in the Appendix A.
