SUMMARY
1. The Statement of work is as follows:
a. Carry out the design, construction, test, trial and delivery
of two of three (3) 5.5 to 5.99m Aluminium with trailer for the
RCMP,, in accordance with the associated Technical
Specifications detailed in the Statement of Work and Project
Management Services attached as Annexes A and H. For any
specifications, drawings, test sheets, annexes and appendices
not included in this document, bidders are requested to contact
the Contracting Authority identified in the bid solicitation.
b. To carry out any approved unscheduled work not covered in
paragraph a. above.
OPTIONAL GOODS
The Contractor grants to Canada the irrevocable option to
acquire two boats with trailers, described at Annex A of the
Contract under the same conditions and at the prices and/or
rates stated in the Contract. The option may only be exercised
by the Contracting Authority and will be evidenced, for
administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.
The Contracting Authority may exercise the option at any time
before 20 June 2013 by sending a written notice to the
Contractor.
DELIVERY
Delivery of the boat and all other deliverables are required by
the contract to be at destination on or before 27 January 2013.
MISSON STATEMENT
The Vessels will be used for general patrol operations on
various lakes and rivers in the Nortwest region provinces and
territories. They will be utilized as a shore based unit,
launched and/ or recovered by trailer or deployed from all types
of ramps. The vessel will be deployed to various functions and
will be configured to meet the duty function of the vessel.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VESSEL
1. Length: Length (hull) must be approx. 18ft and must not
exceed 19 ft .
2. Crew of 3 = 360 kg
3. Fuel = 225 litres in one tank, (180 kg)
4. Equipment & supplies = 75 kg
MANDATORY CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS
1. Transport Canada Marine Safety Regulation TP 1332
"Construction Standards for Small Vessels", which incorporate
references to ABYC standards for equipment such as fuel tanks
and fuel systems, as well as tank space ventilation, and ISO
standards for stability, loading capacity, etc. as delegated to
ISO 12217-1.
2. Canadian Standards Association C22.2 NO. 183.2-M1983 (R1999)
"Standards for D.C. Electrical Installations on Boats and ABYC
'E' electrical standards."
3. Stability calculation as per TP 1332
TRADE AGREEMENTS
The sourcing strategy related to this procurement is subject to
the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) and the North American
Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
