Scope of Work
The work of this requirement comprises renovation of the
generator room located at the Burlington Lift Bridge as follows
but not limited to:
1. Replacement of the day tank (fuel) and associated piping in
the generator room.
2. Installation of a new door assembly cut into the exterior
wall in the generator room and new metal stair and landing.
3. Rental Generator for the duration of the work.
4. Installation of a new curb around the outside main fuel tank
for the product transfer area.
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
An Optional site visit will be held on 14 May 2012 at 10.30
A.M. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit.
Interested contractors, please contact the Contracting Officer,

provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend prior to
the site visit. Bidders are to meet at the site, 1157 Beach
Boulevard, Burlington Lift Bridge, Hamilton, ON L8H 6Z9.
The site visit for this project is OPTIONAL. The representative
of the bidder will be required to sign the Site Visit attendance
sheet at the site visit. Bidders must register with the
Contracting Officer, Bob Hassell at 416-590-8270 to confirm
attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will
attend, 24 hours prior to the site visit.
The duration of work is scheduled to be completed six (6) weeks
from date of award.

downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
