Works under this Contract covers the work involved for the asphalt surfacing of a 1.4 km
existing stone dust trail and the excavation of an existing +/-300mm section. The project is
located along trail number #5; Gamelin-Hautes Plaines in Gatineau Park. The pathway
can be accessed by the Promenade de la Gatineau and or Cité-des-Jeunes the project
includes but is not limited to the following:
.1 Mobilization
.2 Erosion and sediment control
.3 Site grading, excavation and backfilling
.4 Supply and installation of geotextile / Geo-grid under pathway sections
.5 Supply and installation of new granular MG-20, MG-56 and stonedust bed
.6 Installation of Asphalt surface
.7 Supply and Installation of Post and Rail fencing
.8 Supply and installation of pedestrian bar gate
.9 Rehabilitation of disturbed areas.
A NON MANDATORY site visit will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 11am Ottawa time. The exact meeting place is the trail #5 entrance from Chemin de la Mine / Boul de la Cité des Jeunes, Gatineau, Qc. All costs incurred by the Bidder to attend the site visit will be at their expense. The NCC will not reimburse any Bidder for expenses related to the site visit.
