The Enterprise Operation Directorate (EOD) within the Enterprise and Corporate Services Branch of CIO is responsible for managing enterprise wide IT solutions for the Department in support of external business and internal services. The Directorate implements enhancements and new functions or modules and provides ongoing support for enterprise applications such as:• Integrated Finance & Material System (IFMS)• Human Resources Management System (HRMS)• Contributions Management Information System (CMIS)• Grants and Contributions Reporting System (GCRS)• Departmental Project and Portfolio Management Tool (DPPM)• Grants & Contributions Application Intake System (GCINTK)• Industrial Technologies Office Data Warehouse (ITODW)PROJECT REQUIREMENTS / OBJECTIVESCMIS is a Lotus Notes based client/server application working with Oracle and SAP/IFMS to provide a comprehensive and integrated grants and contributions management tool. All elements of the day to day processing of G&C (Grants and Contributions) projects are handled within CMIS. This includes a number of financial functions such as commitment control, claims processing and repayment forecasting. When a financial transaction is required for payment or repayments, the relevant information is transferred to the IFMS application. Additional project information related to program management is also captured in CMIS.Modules include:• Applicants• Projects• Forecast Cash Flows• Claims• Amendments• ReceivablesSCOPE OF WORK / KEY ACTIVITIESThe scope of work for the Programmer Analyst/Lotus Notes Developer includes, but is not limited to the following:• Developing new application code as per the project or projects work plan(s);• Designing and implementing new application code and enhancements to the existing code base;• Analyzing business requirements and working with the team to optimize the requirements for systems implementation;• Performing application testing;• Updating application(s) changes (enhancements and bugs) in the technical documentation;• Meeting with clients on as and when required basis to provide support and to review user requirements; and• Completing and submitting monthly time sheets by project using the (in-house) Project Tracking System.WORK LOCATIONThe contractor will carry out the work on Industry Canada premises located at 235 Queen Street, Ottawa, Ontario.
