Alberta's portfolio of public schools is one of the factors leading to an excellent quality of life for every Albertan. Following Budget 2023 the Government of Alberta approved school capital projects consisting of new schools, replacement schools, and modernization school projects. The 2023 School Capital announcement will enable Alberta to meet student enrollment growth and revitalize existing student spaces by building and maintaining high quality, well-designed schools.
The Holy Family Catholic Replacement School K-12 project is located in the Village of Waskatenau, Alberta. The project will be delivered by Alberta Infrastructure on behalf of The Lakeland Roman Catholic Separate School Division. The project involves constructing a replacement 2,270 m² school to replace the current Holy Family Catholic School, which is to be demolished, and to demolish the existing Anne Chorney Public Library as part of this project. The new replacement school will be constructed on the same site as Holy Family Catholic School.
