Infrastructure - Request for Qualification - RFQ FOR Prime (Masonry) Contractor Services FOR EDMONTON – LEGISLATURE BUILDING Granite Stair Repointing and Repair

The Project is anticipated to be completed between May and October of 2027:
-Removal of all existing mortar and caulking within east and west stair tread and landing stone butt joints and replacement with sealant at top of butt joints.
-Removal of granite stones from east and west stair side walls and reinstallation complete with waterproofing membranes and dowel anchors. Existing concrete masonry unit infill walls to be retained.
-Removal of existing concrete encased steel channels from north and south entranceways of east stair and south entranceway of west stair and replacement with new steel channels encased with concrete.
-Dutchman repair of granite stones on east and west stairs.
-Emergency access is required for all entrances during the work of the project.
-The anticipated project completion date is October 15, 2027.
