Nature of Requirements:
The Canadian Forces Health Services Group (CF H Svcs Gp) has a
multi-year requirement for the procurement of topical insect
repellent commonly referred to as DEET (N, N
diethyl-m-toluamide) cream. The CF requires DEET cream with a
compounded concentration 33.25% (31.5% N, N diethyl-m-toluamide;
plus related active compounds of 1.75%). Product must have a
minimum shelf life of 24 months and each tube must contain a
volume between 50 ml to 100 ml.
The requirement is for three (3) years starting from the date of
issuance of the Standing Offer to March 31, 2016 inclusive, with
two (2) additional one (1) year extension periods from April 1,
2016 to March 31, 2017 and from April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018.
The annual volume is estimated at approximately 20,000 tubes per
year.
All products containing a total DEET concentration of 33.25%
must be registered under the Pest Management Regulatory Agency
of Canada. Information about the agency can be obtained via
http://www.pmra-arla.gc.ca.
Deliveries are to be made to Canadian Forces Base Petawawa.
An offer must comply with the requirements of the Request for
Standing Offer and meet all mandatory technical evaluation
criteria to be declared responsive. The responsive offer with
the lowest evaluated price on an aggregate basis will be
recommended for issuance of a standing offer.
