Nature of Requirements:
Inspection and Repair of POL Facilities
Department of National Defence (DND), Canadian Forces Base (CFB)
Borden in Borden, Ontario has a requirement for the provision of
semi-annual preventative maintenance inspection services and on
an as and when requested basis repair services for their fuel
dispensing units, metering equipment, related pipings, aircraft
fuel systems, etc. which are located at various Petroleum, Oil,
and Lubricant (POL) Facilities throughout the base.
The proposed period of the contract is from date of Contract to
31 December 2013 with the option to extend the contract for an
additional 1 year period.
Mandatory Criteria - Bidder must demonstrate that their
resources performing the work has the required certification(s)
and the experience(s) to carry out the work.
Optional Site Visit
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on:
2 October 2012, at 10AM

Borden, Borden, Ontario.
Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting
Authority 3 day(s) before the scheduled visit to confirm
attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will
attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form.
Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be
given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded
from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
