Title: Musical Instruments, Accessories and Supplies
The Department of National Defence (DND), Regional Cadet Support
Unit (RCSU) Central, CFB Borden, ON has a requirement for the
supply and delivery of various band instruments, accessories and
supplies, such as drums, flutes, bagpipes and trumpets etc. A
full list of the requirement is listed in the Request for
Proposal.
RCSU Central conducts and supports various music training
activities throughout the summer and regular training year. The
cadet music program is available to cadets from all three
elements and is part of optional training in the corps/squadron
program, the cadet summer training centre (CSTC) program and
regionally directed activities.
Currently, there are approximately 191 corps/squadron bands in
the region that have access to an instrument loan program. In
the summer, these instruments support approximately 600 cadets
attending music courses that are conducted at 3 training centres.
The instruments to be procured must visually and audibly match
current holdings. Therefore,
No-substitute will be accepted for the items specified with a
brand name, model and/or part number at Annex A, Requirement.
Also, because of the different bands in the Brigade, each band
is uniquely different from the other and one manufacturer's
instrument sound is not the same as another manufacturers.
The requirement listed in Annex A will be evaluated on an item
by item basis and the responsive bid with the lowest evaluated
price for each item will be recommended for award of a contract.
More then one contract may be awarded as a result of this
solicitation.
Delivery must be made on or before March 28, 2013.
