Tender description
TC continues to require a group of people or an organization to act as “Program
Observers”. These Program Observers are required to participate in training,
regularly patrol the waters of the Tallurutiup Imanga National Marine Conservation Area (TINMCA), make and record observations regarding
marine vessels in TINMCA, and provide reports and/or communications back to TC
related to TC’s various program mandates. The content of the reports and
communications may include but is not limited to:
- Reports of vessels engaged in unsafe navigation,
- Reports of vessels observed polluting the environment,
- Reports of wrecked, hazardous or abandoned vessels.
This reported data may be used to inform program planning, determine program risk
factors or may facilitate future enforcement actions.
