Work on this Contract comprises of water tower upgrades and
repairs at the Joyceville Institution, Highway 15, Kingston,
Ontario.
MANDATORY SITE VISIT
There will be a site visit on 07 May 2013 at 1:30 pm. Interested
bidders are to meet at the Joyceville Institution located on
Highway 15, Kingston, Ontario.
The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The
representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site
Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by
Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be
accepted.
Bidders must communicate and provide name(s) to the Contracting
Officer, Jim Cowieson at (416) 512-5829 by no later than 06 May
2013 to ensure that gate passes are issued. ID must be brought
to the site meeting otherwise there will be no access.
SECURITY REQUIREMENT FOR CANADIAN CONTRACTORS - Correctional
Services Canada will be administering their standard security
clearance.
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work in two phases
(as defined below).
a. Phase one: The Contractor shall perform and complete the
Work associated with the underground reservoir, boiler plant
upgrades and putting the reservoir into service with the
institution's potable water system Within (22) weeks from the
date of notification of acceptance of the offer; and
b. Phase two: The Contractor shall perform and complete the
Work associated with the water tower and valve chamber after 01
April 2014 with completion by 29 August 2014.
Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are
incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and
Contract Documents. The Standard documents are issued by Public
