Scope of Work
The work involves adding air conditioning and/or ventilation in
two main areas; Room C133 in the main building and also in the
SLE building that is separate and located across the compound.
Both zones include adding new HVAC equipment; a new package
rooftop unit, a new mini-split air conditioner complete with
external condenser and a new interior cooling unit with ducted
supply, return and outside air as well as rooftop condenser. All
new equipment is to be connected to the existing controls system
via the current controls provider.
IMPORTANT NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Refer to the Special Instructions to Bidders SI01 paragraph 3
(and Appendices 1 and 2) for requirements related to the Code of
Conduct for Procurement.
OPTIONAL SITE VISIT:
There will be a site visit on 12 September 2012 at 11:00am.
Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit.

the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend prior to the site
visit. Interested bidders are to meet at the site, Grand Valley
Institution for Women, main entrance, 1575 Homer Watson Blvd.,
Kitchener, On., N2P 2C5.
Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from
submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid
solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as
an amendment to the bid solicitation.
The duration of work is scheduled to be completed on or before
31 December 2012 from date of award.

Drawings and Specifications are now available for viewing and
downloading in a Portable Document Format (PDF) or in a standard
paper version. Tenderers should note that Attachment 1 (ATT 1)
contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which
consists of PDF files organized in an industry recognized
directory structure.
