Procurement Strategy for Aboriginal Business. For more

Required for Environment Canada (EC) the purchase of two
scintillometer systems for research and meteorological
observation purposes. Delivery for Iqualuit. These
scintillometer systems must have necessary mounts so that they
can be made securable to prevent damaage and loss. They are
also to be supplied with two power supplies and tripod stand,
weather proof housing and transportation cases. These
scintillometers have to meet technical specifications detailled
in the Request for proposal.

The scintillometers must be required to operate autonomously (no
operator) and from a remote location. They must operate
continuously in extreme weather (Canada's high Arctic) year
round for extended periods of time. However these instruments
may also be used for physical field studies of high impact
weather in both warm season and cold season environments, as
well as to investigate the synergy with Doppler Lidar and radar
measurements at Iqualuit, and to develop scintillometer
applications in Arctic regions.
