Nature of Requirements:
The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) has a requirement for a
Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) respirator
to replace the current one in service. The Joint CBRN General
Services Respirator (Joint CBRN GSR) project intends to procure
Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), Military Off-The-Shelf (MOTS)
or modified COTS/MOTS respirator systems through a competitive
procurement process to meet the CAF's need. Each GSR system will
consist of the respirator, including its filter system, any
respirator accessories required per original equipment
manufacturer's (OEM) design necessary to meet the requirements
of the System Requirements Specification (SRS) and any test
equipment adapters as required.

This Letter of Interest (LOI) seeks feedback from industry on
the updated draft requirements of the System Requirements
Specification (SRS).

The information provided by Canada in this LOI is preliminary
and may change. This LOI is not a solicitation nor will it be
used to pre-qualify or otherwise restrict participation in a
future Request for Proposal (RFP). Responses to this LOI will
not be used to identify a source list for the purposes of
undertaking any future work. Responding to this LOI is neither a
condition nor a prerequisite for participation in any RFP should
Canada elect to proceed accordingly.
