THE DATE OF THE OPENING OF TENDERS WAS CHANGED FOR TUESDAY, AUGUST 11, 2015 AT 2:00 PM

Description of Work: Work of this Contract comprises rehabilitation of Bridge 4, located across the historic Chambly Canal in Chambly, Quebec. The Work of this Contract comprises, but is not limited to: Installation of traffic control measures and the environmental protection, jacking and supporting the bridge temporarily, removal of the existing center bearing, repairing the concrete below the bearing and installation of a new center bearing, repairs to the steel structure, removal of the existing balance wheel rail, repairing the concrete and cleaning the site.

Closing Date and Time: Tuesday, August 11, 2015, 2:00PM (EDT)

SITE VISIT
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for the site visit to be held at 3501 chemin du Canal, Chambly, Québec on Tuesday, June 23, 2015. The site visit will begin at 10:00 EDT.

Bidders are requested to communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than Monday, June 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders may be requested to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders who do not attend or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

National Parks Regulations require that all work is to be performed in accordance with the ordinances, laws, rules and regulations set out in the National Park Act.

Bidders that consider themselves qualified to provide this Work and intend to submit bids on this project should obtain documents from the Government Electronic Tendering Service through the Government of Canada tendering service at www.buyandsell.gc.ca/tenders . Addenda, when issued, will be available from the Government of Canada tendering service. Bidders that elect to base their bids on documents obtained from other sources do so at their own risk. Late submissions will not be considered.

Standard Terms and Conditions for this procurement are incorporated by reference into, and form part of the Tender and Contract Documents.

Delivery Date: The Work must be completed on or before February 26, 2016.
