The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) maintains a permanent source list for procurements of vehicles for Embassies in various regions. This solicitation is to seek qualified suppliers to expand the permanent source list for Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Americas, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The source list is established based on an evaluation of the company’s capability to supply vehicles in the specific required size class(es), and providing an authorized warranty approved full-service and parts location within 25 km of the location of the Embassy capable of providing after-sales service for the life of the vehicle while in Canada’s possession. When a requirement for (a) vehicle(s) arises, the qualified companies on the source list are included in Phase 2 of the procurement process, and issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) to fulfill the specific requirement. Qualified registered companies will be invited to participate in the Phase 2 RFQ for the location(s) indicated in Phase 1. If the locations of interest change, it is each supplier’s responsibility to notify the Departmental Representative to update the information on the source list.
In order for a bid to be considered responsive, the bidder must:
1. Complete Part 1 of the Source List Questionnaire in full by populating all cells; and
2. Complete at least one row of the table in Part 2 of the Source List Questionnaire. A complete row is defined as the following:
– At least one (1) class of vehicle is selected (can be marked with an “X”) for at least one (1) of the Embassy locations listed; and
– An address of an authorized warranty approved full-service and parts location is provided in the last column; the location must be within 25 km of the Embassy for the selected vehicle class(es) and locations.

Proponents shall order from BuyandSell.gc.ca the Request for Proposal documents which include the RFP Invitation.
The North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) applies to this requirement and may apply to
Phase 2 solicitations.
Note: Companies already registered on the suppliers’ list are not required to re-apply, but may at any time update their information to add or delete locations, vehicle classes, or change contact information.
