COMPACT TRACK LOADER LEASE FOR DND TRENTON
The TD Section, DRDC Atlantic has a requirement for the lease of
a Compact or Multi-terrain Track Loader for use in harsh Arctic
conditions at CFS Alert. Temperatures range from +15oC to -50oC
and terrain varies from soft snow to ice ridges to rock covered
tundra and mud. Yearly usage is approximately 600 hours. The
majority of the usage hours are while the unit is idling, to
stay warm, between jobs. Actual working hours are in the range
of 200 hours. CFS Alert has licensed mechanics that will perform
maintenance and repairs. This requirement is for a 1 year lease
with the option to renew the lease for up to 5 additional years
and with an option to buy the equipment in the 3rd, 4th and 5th
years.
Delivery: On or before 01 February 2013 the loader must be
delivered to 8 Wing, CFB Trenton for shipment to CFS Alert. The
vehicle must be certified to be leak free for delivery purposes.
