The Department of National Defence (DND) requires a contractor
to supply two (2) refuelling carts at Garrison Petawawa,
Ontario, for a period of 6 months, with an option to continue
renting up to 10 months.
The equipment shall be a towable refuelling cart that will allow
a vehicle to tow them to existing fuel hydrants and allow fuel
transfer to CH 147 (Chinook) helicopters. The fuel carts shall
be complete with all required filters, meters, hoses, and
controls that are used to transfer fuel between the existing
fuel hydrants helicopter platforms and to meet all required code
requirements and standards.
The contractor will conduct on-site training, to be arranged in
consultation with the user group, 450 MHLH Squadron, upon
equipment delivery.
Optional Site Visit
It is recommended that the Bidder or a representative of the
Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made for a
tour of the work site. The site visit will be held on August 12,
2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Bldg. S-111, Room C-114. Bidders must
communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than two
day(s) before the scheduled visit to confirm attendance and
provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders
who do not confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the
person(s) who will attend as required will not be allowed access
to the site. Bidders will be requested to sign an attendance
form. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will
not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be
precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes
to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be
included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
