BACKGROUND: The Regional Cadet Support Unit for the Eastern Region (Eastern RCSU) of the Department of National Defence (DND) organizes the Music Festival as part of its annual training program. Thisfestival brings together cadets from the different regions of the Québec province.
REQUIREMENT: To provide a leased facility (preferably a school building), janitorial/superintendent services as well as food catering services in the Contractor’s facility for the Eastern RCSU from March 24, 2017 to March 26, 2017. The facility will be used for training purposes, accommodation and food service. All in accordance with the requirements set out in Annex A - Statement of Requirement, Annex B - Facility and Annex C - Food Catering Service, which all form part of the Request for Proposals (RFP).
FACILITIES: The proposed leased facility must be located in the city of Drummondville, Province of Quebec or within a radius of 70kms maximum from this city. The facility must provide, among other things, closed and open spaces to work, closed spaces for interviews, a first aid room, a computer room as well as provide chairs and tables in the respective spaces.
FOOD SERVICE: The Contractor must provide food catering service at the facility by the necessary personnel required. The food must be freshly cooked. The estimated number of meals during the festival is approximately 1,640 breakfasts, 1,780 lunches and 1,260 suppers. Note that one hundred (100) Muslim people will participate in this event and thefood catering service must be able to accommodate them. These 100 individuals are included in the estimated number of meals mentioned.
Additional meals may be requested for last-minute guests.
PERIOD OF CONTRACT: The contract will be awarded the 1st of September 2016 (for preliminary preparations) up to March 27, 2017. The facility and catering services will be required for the period of the event from March 24th to March 26, 2017 with an additional day (27 march 2017), if needed, to put the facility in order.
CANADIAN CONTENT: This requirement is limited to Canadian goods and services.
TRADE AGREEMENTS: The requirementis not subject to any trade agreement due to the estimated value being below the thresholds required for services.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGES: Public Works and Government Services Canada provides services in both official languages of Canada.
