Under the terms of the Federal Provincial Agreement Parks Canada is committed to providing Camping Services and a Day Use Area at Lomond in Gros Morne National Park of Canada.
Lomond Campground and Day Use Area are located on the South side of Gros Morne National Park of Canada. From this site Parks Canada provides camping and day use services to the visitor. Services are provided while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing appearance, protecting the capital investment, the environment and to ensure the health and safety of visitors and staff. Without sufficient internal resources Parks Canada requires external caretaker services to operate the services on our behalf. Campground caretaker services include: reception and orientation to the campground, Gros Morne National Park and the region in both official languages; collection and security of revenues; access to the waterways and hiking trails; janitorial; minor grounds and facility maintenance; provision of electricity (minimum 5KW); and garbage collection and disposal. Parks Canada is currently looking to external sources to provide this service offer for the operating seasons of 2014, 2015 and 2016 beginning Victoria Day Weekend and ending Thanksgiving Day Weekend (inclusive) for each of the years.
Bidders must pass all mandatory requirements: proof from a financial institution stating they are in good standing; proof of a site visit in the form of signed site certificate issued by the park; minimum of 5 years experience operating a campground and engaging with the public; and bidders must provide (for an individual) name, street address, telephone number and fax number (if available); or (for a company) company name, street address, telephone number and fax number (if available), company signing officers and titles, as well as the name of representative for the submission with his/her street address, telephone number and fax number (if available).
