SCOPE OF WORK
Purpose
The following statement of work describes requirements to decommission the current radar at the Exeter Weather Radar Site located 50 kilometres northwest of London, Ontario. Address is 41651 Thames Rd (Highway 83) at Huron Road 11, South Huron, ON, N0M 1S7
Objective:
The objective of this work is to decommission the existing C-band weather radar station. The work will include demolition of Transmitter building, removal of the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) modular shelter, disassembly of the 30m C-Band radar tower (21m steel tower, 9m radome), dish, pedestal and radome, and removal of the existing C-Band tower site foundations to 300mm below grade. Specific instructions are further in tender for removal of building and filling of the remaining hole with fill. Materials identified for disposal must be removed from site and discarded appropriately at a licensed provincial garbage or re-cycling facility.
